My Story

I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. You get it! I speak both Chinese Mandarin and English.

My soul chose to be born in the middle of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Did you notice that I used the word “soul”? We will explore it more when we meet each other.

When I was a toddler, both of my parents, my father as a neurologist and mother as a pharmacist, were sent to two different concentration camps to be “re-educated”.

You guessed it! Without parents, I was boarded out from one home to the next, and from one school to another. I lived in constant fear and learned to always anticipate the worst every day. Think about the abundance of negative thoughts!

My father brought me home when I was seven, and my mother finally returned home when I was twelve.

I long battled with shame, guilt, and depression throughout my thirties. Underneath my lovely and sweet facade, I was insecure with little self-worth.

But I had my “Christ, higher-self” in me. I was fortunate enough to recognize that I needed help, and I became obsessed with self-development books, seminars, and workshops. I became a “spiritual junkie”.

I was taught and coached by some of the most amazing masters.

I don’t want to bore you with my detailed struggles in the past, but rather, I want to share how I transformed my life.

I started with self-awareness. I acknowledged that I was my problem and needed change, and I actively sought help. It has been a thousand-mile journey with countless baby steps, one step at a time.

So how am I doing today? I wake up every morning with my heart filled with gratitude for my dream life. I know my peace and freedom came from 25 years of ongoing self-investment. Even though I have a master’s degree in nursing, what upgraded all areas of my life is not taught in schools today.

Throughout my working years, I’ve discovered how much I appreciate working with people from all walks of life. As a natural empath, I’m good at helping people achieve goals by raising their consciousness.

I’m extremely private. So what drives me to put myself out here? The astonishing results! Witnessing another human professing his/her health, wealth, or perfect relationship has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone.

I want to contribute to uplifting humanity by providing one-on-one coaching services, writing Bible-inspired stories in my blog, and empowering with self-education products. Let’s grow and evolve together.

By the way, my husband will disclose that I’m a girly woman, and my teenage boy will confirm that I have no military background.

So why do I call myself Colonel Rae? I was my biggest enemy in all areas of my life. I didn’t change until I got serious with myself. One of the BIGGEST mistakes I made was to stop investing in self-growth for years after I graduated from college.

As Colonel Rae, I dare you, no, I double and triple dare you to enroll in my Happiness Army. You want a better world? It starts with YOU!
