Hello, dear one!
If you’re associating the word gender with biological sexes, you’re in for a new definition to expand your awareness.
To illustrate the law of gender, let’s revisit the greatest technological presentation by Apple CEO, Steve Jobs.
On January 9, 2007, the auditorium in Moscone Center, San Francisco was packed with enthusiastic keynote speakers and anticipating audiences.
Suddenly, the background music stopped. In stark silence, Steve Jobs walked on the stage, with a black turtleneck top, blue jeans, and a pair of white sneakers.
He didn’t smile, and he didn’t even look at the audience. As he took slow steps toward the center of the stage, he looked down at his hands.
The audience was on the edge of their seats!
He finally turned to the audience and delivered his first line.
“This is a day,” he paused, “I’ve been looking forward to,” and he paused again, “for two and a half years.”
By this time, he had his audience’s total attention.
Steve Jobs demonstrated the application of the law of gender to perfection!
The law of gender is all about balancing innate masculine and feminine energies so that you can make better decisions to maximize results.
The masculine energy is the strong-willed, assertive, analytical, and active doer. The feminine energy is the receptive, intuitive, nurturing, and flowing being.
Relaxed in his New Balance sneakers, Steve Jobs strategically mastered the marketing of the first iPhone, through playing Yin and Yang, or masculine and feminine energies.
As a lifelong meditation practitioner, Steve Jobs was intuitive, creative, and receptive. He embraced Yin or feminine energies to design and market all Apple products.
With relentless self-discipline, Steve Jobs rehearsed the 2007 presentation to obsession. He designed his monk-like appearance, timed every step on the stage, and paused between sentences.
Behind his flowing ease on stage, he practiced with determination in private. Steve Jobs blended his two dichotomous energies seamlessly in this presentation.
How does understanding and applying the law of gender serve and grow you?
Have you been bullied at work or even at home? What did you do when someone’s criticism or action left you feeling belittled and inadequate?
If you were angry and reactive, you exercised masculine energy. If you sucked in and felt let down afterward, you chose feminine energy.
There is no right or wrong, but being aware of the energy you choose produces a better outcome.
I grew up in a masculine family culture. Be a goal-getter, a top student, a hard worker, and a successful material gatherer. Hustle to do!
Whenever we had family gatherings, I was anxious because my mother compared and measured me to others. I felt reduced and disappointed.
Thankfully, my feminine intuition led me to the law of gender. Once I understood it, the magic followed after my repetitious application.
Every time I felt insignificant in a family gathering, I quietly reminded myself that I had a choice.
I could choose masculine reaction, defend myself, and possibly co-create a final defeat, or I could choose feminine compassion by praising their success and good fortune.
You guessed it! I chose the soft self.
After a while, the competition faded, and the gatherings became more pleasant and family-centered.
The law of gender is a reminder of balance. While actions are necessary for production and prosperity, being creative, intuitive, and compassionate completes a well-being life.
Sometimes standing up for what you believe serves you better, and other times flowing or letting go will generate a more optimum result.
Your life now is a sum of all past choices. Choose intentionally with the law of gender.
May the law of gender work wonders in your life, raise your awareness, and ultimately bring you closer to the magnificent YOU!
