Letting Go To Prosper

Hello, dear one!

As you approach the end of this year, what has upgraded your life, and what has hindered your desired prosperity?

Allow me to share a childhood story to start a conversation on letting go to prosper.

Once upon a time on a mountain in China, a young monk was assigned to sweep the leaves in a temple.

As he raised his head watching the falling leaves, he asked the master monk:

“Why will a tree abandon its leaves?”

The master replied, “The tree does not abandon its leaves. The old leaves no longer serve the tree. Letting go of the old leaves in the fall will allow new leaves to come in spring.”

Isn’t your life all about letting go and letting in?

Read on letting go to prosper.

Just about all business school graduates have read Think and Grow Rich, a self-help book by Napoleon Hill. This book has been an all-time classic and inspired many to become successful in life.

However, Hill himself failed multiple times after the success of this book. He pondered on the question, “Why can’t I apply the principles I mentioned in Think and Grow Rich and become successful or sustain my success?”

Not only he tried many businesses and failed, but he also failed his marriages two times, which forced him to start all over, financially.

However, a miracle came to his life when he had a hallucination-like experience.

He later recalled receiving a visit from a guiding angel. This was the breakthrough for his mindset, which redirected him to prosper the rest of his life.

With his keen insight, Hill identified the roadblocks to unrealized goals, including fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy.

They are Devil’s tools used to kill human spirits.

He encapsulated that there are two selves in each of us. Oneself is manipulated by fear, which causes us to take no action or give up easily.

The other self is connected to God or the Source that created us; it is the ultimate faith.

Only if our actions are inspired and pulled by faith, we will surmount any challenge and see beyond the loom of darkness.

Hill ascertained and documented his truth in a fictional book, Outwitting The Devil.

The book wasn’t published until after his death due to its controversial subject. However, when it was finally released, readers gave five-star reviews for its profound letting go of the dark self.

The old leaves on a tree must fall to allow room for new ones to grow, so the tree will sustain and thrive continuously with seasonal changes.

To prosper again, Hill had to let go of his fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy.

The Bible suggests achieving a higher version of yourself: Forget what is behind and reach forward to what is ahead (Philippians 3:13).

If you’re preparing for your next level of growth, what are the things you’re willing to let go to prosper?
