Will You Try A New Name?

Hello, dear one!

Here is an exercise for you today: Listen to name callings throughout the day.

What have you heard so far?

Oh, I can’t believe I did this; I’m stupid! I wish I had known better; I’m such an idiot! My boss ignores my vacation request again because I’m a doormat!

Many of us are doing this all day without noticing the results, and we become what we call ourselves!

This universe has a law of cause and effect. If we can change the way we call ourselves, we will change our future.

This law works for animals too!

A young man relocated to a new city in 2008. Out of loneliness, he went to a pet shelter and adopted a black labrador retriever, Ray.

The young man brought Ray home with a backpack, which had some toys and a letter from the original owner.

Ray became a troublemaker in his new home, tearing furniture covers and chewing on shoes.

This young man kept telling himself to be patient and tolerant until Ray became more acquainted with his new environment. Unfortunately, the situation didn’t improve after months.

One day, as this young man battled the thought of sending Ray back to the shelter, he finally reached the backpack and opened the letter from the original owner.

It turned out that the dog was named “Tank” because the owner was a military soldier who drove tanks.

The young man learned in the letter if the shelter put Tank up for adoption, the soldier had lost his life.

A light bulb came on while he was finishing reading the letter.

The dog needed a new name: TANK it is!

He immediately called the dog, Tank, and Tank responded to his calling.

With the right name for Tank, they gradually enjoyed each other, running on trails, playing tennis balls in the parks, and hanging out watching football games together on the couch.

Tank followed the young man’s commands, stopping destroying furniture and shoes. The young man changed their life together by calling his dog the right name.

Changing your future with a new name is biblical.

When Abraham first appeared in the Bible, he was “Abram,” meaning “exalted father” in Hebrew.

But God had a plan for him, and changed “Abram” to “Abraham.” God said to him, “You will no longer be called Abram. Your new name is Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations (Genesis 17: 5)”

With his new name, God promised him a fruitful life and power over many nations.

And God also changed the name of Abraham’s wife!

God instructed Abraham, “You’re no longer to call your wife Sarai. Her new name is Sarah. I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of all nations (Genesis 17:15-16)”.

Changing their names was the turning point of their new destiny!

Both Abram and Sarai had struggled to conceive a baby at their advanced ages. But after they became Abraham and Sarah, their son Isaac was birthed.

The miracle of their son appeared after they changed their names!

The good news is that it is easy to replace with a new name!

Do you believe you deserve to be healthy, wealthy, and with good relationships?
