How Much Do You Trust Yourself?

Hello, dear one!

When you look at the word “trust,” do you see the US in it? What does trust mean to you? How much do you trust yourself?

Have you ever wondered why some people are always stuck with something, a job, a relationship, or a health condition?

And, others with little education and humble beginning audaciously pursued their happiness, a dream partner, a body to feel good in, or a wonderful work with fulfillment?

Some people have three doctor’s degrees and still struggle with their financial freedom. There are plenty of patients who worship prescription medicines. And many others who stay in relationships that impede their growth.

Is it possible that they’re stuck where they are without a deep knowing?

Trust entails God, a higher being, within you. When you trust, you’re with God, never alone.

I’ve been inspired by King David for years. This man was the epiphany of trust.

He was nobody to his family. When the prophet Samuel came to his house, David’s father almost forgot that he had a son named David. He was insignificant to both his father and his brothers.

But, David trusted the Lord, his higher being.

Whenever he was outnumbered by enemies, he looked up to the hills. He knew in his heart and soul that his help came only from the maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121).

God watched his coming and going. His biological father neglected him, his brothers mocked him, and the lions and bears visited David and attacked his flocks in the wilderness, but David was safe dwelling in God’s Kingdom.

God called him the man after His own heart because David dared to trust God.

It’s been a long journey for me to develop my trust in myself, which is God within.

Like many others, I used to look to my parents, teachers, friends, or significant others for validation, only to find out that they were human.

I worshiped God in churches, and I thought God was in the church.

I sought God in nature, for I thought God was in nature.

I looked everywhere to lean on God, working a little harder, getting another degree, buying another house, or going on another vacation.

It took me decades and many heartaches to discover that God has always been in me and with me, with every breath, I’m taking.

My sources, health, wealth, relationships, and self-expression are all from one place: God in myself.

When I realized that I AM the source of my pain and happiness, poverty and abundance, sickness and well-being, and constriction and expansion, I freed myself.

The Bible says that I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me (Philippians 4:13).

I used to think that Christ was Jesus, until:

One day, I had an aha moment: Christ is the higher being of myself, not Jesus.

I have the power to call on my God in me and move through any situation.

When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I knew that I had the power to reverse it. I called on God in me, and I completely reversed the condition. This was seven years ago.

When my relationship was rocky, I knew I had the power to see the good in another person. The new attitude of appreciation turned my relationship around.

When I was living paycheck to paycheck, I looked up to God. He said, “Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3).” I see abundance everywhere today.

My Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not want (Psalm 23).

God comes to me, through me, and out from me in all directions. And in Him, I live, move, and have my being (Act 17:28).

I trust in God, and therefore myself. I’m forever provided, protected, and promoted.

I learned to trUSt.

So, how much do you trust yourself?
