Hello, dear one!
When your parents failed to recognize you, your boss ignored your promotion, your partner disappointed you, and your friends betrayed you, what will you choose, NEXT?
You hear this: Life is unfair.
Sometimes.
When I was studying energy and frequency, I heard a story from Dr. Sue Morter, the leading energy expert on energy transformation.
After her father passed away, Dr. Morter was shocked to discover that her father intentionally denied her inheritance and gave her share to her siblings.
This was an epiphany moment; she even questioned her enigma of existence. Why? At the time, she couldn’t wrap her head around this seeming atrocity.
Rumi said, what hurts you blesses you. Darkness is your candle.
The pain redirected her on a path of learning energy and eventually transformed her life with a buoyant reflection on this experience.
Now she’s on a quest to teach and heal others physically and emotionally.
Jesus said, in my Father’s mansion, there are many mansions.
I pondered and meditated on this for years, and often ask myself: When the unexpected happens, which room will I choose?
The time came to test my understanding recently.
I ordered a pair of walking shoes from a major department store, but I was in for a surprise a few days later.
I received an email notification that the shoes were delivered to an out-of-state department store.
When I called the store’s customer service, I couldn’t get anyone to answer me.
Little frustrated at first, I quickly reminded myself that things would work out.
I paid a visit to a branch store in my city.
The gentleman in the customer service department had challenges putting the whole story together, and he encouraged me to visit another branch store for a resolution.
Frustrated, but I was curious to see how this drama would end.
While he was convincing me that I needed to seek help from another store, I remained very pleasant and calm.
I remembered consciously telling myself, “Something good will come out of this situation. Things will work out for me. Things always work out for me. And why shouldn’t they?”
As I was mumbling, a lovely lady in a royal blue dress walked on the counter; she had come back from her lunch break. My situation turned its tide.
With her big smile, she inquired about details of my particular challenge and reassured me, “Let me make a few phone calls.”
She completely took over the problem and spoke to a customer service person at the out-of-state department store.
It turned out someone who took my online order made a mistake, shipping to the wrong delivery address, and the shoe size was wrong!
I felt calmer after discovering the truth. I decided to take the HIGH ROAD.
I thanked this lady profusely for helping me and requested a cancellation of my order.
I did all that with a big smile on my face and a sincerely grateful heart.
Life is a boomerang. What you give out will come back to you, good or bad.
We all make mistakes. Who knows what was going on with that person behind the mistakes? As I forgave this person, I was forgiven for my other mistakes.
I walked out of the store with peace in my heart, knowing something better will show up.
Four days later, on my way for an errand, I followed my hunch and walked into a nearby store that I seldom visit.
I saw a pair of walking shoes, most stylish with a perfect fit. It exceeded all my expectations.
It’s so easy to get disappointed when things don’t go our way. But if we just hang in there a little longer with a better thought, the result can be a pleasant surprise.
I often remind myself of this Bible principle if I want a smooth turnout: To think whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
When the unexpected hits me, I choose the rooms of hope, compassion, and love.
How about you? Which room will you choose?
