Are You Willing To Stop Struggling?

Hello, dear one!

If you’re like me, growing up and being told that life was hard, and you needed to work hard and struggle for what you wanted, you’d be surprised to discover the truth.

In this high-tech age, have you noticed that you’ve been downloading others’ software on your mind and operating on their programs?

God’s perfect will for you is never to struggle, and Jesus told a story to receive grace, effortlessly.

Once upon a time, a wealthy old man had two sons.

The younger son asked him, “Father, give me my share of the estate (Luke 15:12).” So the father granted his son’s wish by dividing his assets into two portions.

The younger son took his money and ran with it.

After squandering all his money, the younger son begged to feed pigs for other farmers. At one point, he got so desperate and hungry that he was drooling over the pigs’ food buckets.

However, God was always with him.

In his despair, he received a flash of ideas: “Why not beg my father to hire me? All my father’s helpers are fed, and he will feed me too. I will confess to my father that I sinned and have wronged him, and I now just want to be hired like all the workers in his field.”

There was no time for inertia! He began his journey back to his father’s house.

The minute he realized he was on the wrong path and took the first step to correct his mistake, God blessed him with a flow of downstream events.

When he was still far away from his father’s house, his father saw him and was filled with compassion.

His father overlooked how sordid his son was. He ran to his lost son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him.

The father ordered servants to put on the best robe for his son and celebrate his return with the biggest feast.

Of course, the older son was angry with how his father rewarded his wasted brother, “How can you do this to me? I’ve slaved myself working for you for years, but you never gave me a young goat. But for this disgraceful son, you killed a fattened calf for him. This is not fair!”

The father lovingly replied, “You’ve been with me, and everything I own is yours. You’ve been taking care of your future possessions. However, for your brother, he was lost and dead, but now he’s found and alive again. We need to celebrate his rebirth.”

What this father did for his lost son was the way God treats all His children.

When you fall below your expectations, God looks at you with nothing but love.

God would never say to a falling child, “Get up, you little dummy!” That’s you talking to yourself!

It’s okay to fall.

When you fall, each time, you always fall forwardly in life.

It’s okay to fall. Let it be okay. You’ll always get up, next.

And then, if you’re willing to get up and stop the struggle, God will pave the way as He did for the lost son.

Stuart Wilde, One of the greatest metaphysics teachers, wrote a book about not struggling with life: Life Was Never Meant To Be A Struggle.

He said,

“If you are sick of struggles and want to stop the strugglers’ parade, come to the inside world: Your evolution through life is sacrosanct. You’re the only one who can decide what’s best for you. Only you have the answers.”

As a nurse, I do have a favorite doctor, Dr. Seuss. That’s right because he’s got the perfect prescription for life to stop the self-induced struggles:

You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

You’re on your own.

And you know what you know.

And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.

There is no virtue in struggles. So are you willing to stop struggling?
